Union Public Service Commission, UPSC today issued a clarification that two persons have been fraudulently claiming to have been finally recommended by the UPSC in the Civil Services Examination, 2022 against two Roll Numbers of genuinely recommended candidates. It said the claims of both persons are fake.
They have forged the documents in their favour to buttress their claims. UPSC said its system is robust as well as fool proof and such errors are not possible.
UPSC is contemplating both criminal as well as disciplinary penal action against both candidates for their fraudulent acts.
The cases have been reported in the electronic and print media widely. UPSC said that it was unprofessional of one of the media channels which irresponsibly reported that UPSC has corrected its mistake in one of the cases and is investigating the matter as to how such error an error occurred.
UPSC reiterated that its system is robust and foolproof to eliminate any such errors of alleged nature. It said media channels should verify the genuineness of such claims from the UPSC before broadcasting or publishing news of such fake claims.
