Govt. is playing in the hands of mafia, BJP’ proxy govt. in J&K is looting the people by imposing tax: Partap
Jammu Apr 2: Strongly opposing the proposal of the Excise Department to open another approximately 26 liquor shops in J&K, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has cautioned the government to refrain from such an obnoxious move aimed at violating the sanctity of city of temples.
Speaking to media State Spokesperson Aap, Pratap Singh Jamwal said that proposal to open new liquor shops seemed to be a deep rooted conspiracy against Jammu region and its youth in particular. He asserted that this makes it amply clear that the J&K Government is playing in the hands of liquor mafia crossing all the limits.
He said that on one hand the Govt is clamouring a lot about the schemes rolled out by it like ‘Beti Padao Beti Bachao’, “Khelo India”, “Make in India”, “Start Up schemes”, etc but on the other hand these schemes of the Union Govt will prove absolutely futile in J&K where the Administration is following the policy of promoting and facilitating alcoholism.
He lambasted the govt. for the opening of new liquor shops by the Government in Jammu and Kashmir and 10% hike in toll plaza rates.
Partap added that BJP’s proxy Government in J&K is looting the people by imposing tax after tax be it through Toll Plaza or by imposing Property Tax.
