DIG BSF Inaugurates “Winter Carnival Shri Fest”
Samba,CNS,26-Dec; With a footfall of more than 1500 people, the “Winter Carnival Shri Fest” was organised at The Shri Ram Universal School. Enthusiasts from all cross-sections of the society from Samba and Jammu area thronged the school premises and enjoyed the fun and frolic.
Surjit Singh, DIG Border Security Forces, Jammu inaugurated the Fest. Rakesh Dubey, Additional DC Samba was the Guest of Honour. Both the dignitaries appreciated the contribution and enthusiasm shown by the students and the parents. They visited each and every stall and interacted with the students manning them.
Mrs Shilpa Dubey, member DDC Samba graced the occasion as Chief Guest for the Closing Ceremony of the fest. She took out the “Lucky Draw of Raffle Tickets” and gave away the prizes to the winners.
The Fest was a happening thing as it was peppered with so many exciting games and variety of mouth-watering food delicacies. The mesmerising performances by the students of the school held the audience spellbound. The local artists like Ms Sars Bharti, Daughter of the Soil and popular amongst the masses, the Policewala Rapper flaunted their mellifluous voice. Ms Pearl Verma displayed her talent with the brush as far as the Basoli Art was concerned.
The Shri-corner which gave an insight into the pedagogy used by the Shri Ram Universal School was the most sought after and occupied place in the premises. The visitors were highly impressed with the models and flow charts prepared by the students. The Shri-Differentiators such as story-telling, wonder times, fine motor skills, etc were the highlight of the carnival that tickled everyone’s senses especially the young children accompanying the parents.
In addition to the above certain on the spot activities such as Baby Talent show, Painting competition and Matra Ucharan were also conducted, and the winners were awarded attractive prizes and participation certificates. Students from IMFA exhibited their artifacts which were appreciated by one and all.
Edu-Leaders present on the occasion were felicitated for their outstanding work in the field of education. Prominent amongst the Edu-Leaders were Dr KCS Mehta, Academic Director and Principal IDPS Akhnoor, Mr KL Dogra, Principal, MV International School, Mr Sanjeev Pradhan, Principal APS Samba, Mr Rajesh Rathore, President JSSC and Principal JK Public School, Ms Neeru Puri, Principal SD Tara Puri School Gandhinagar, Ms Prabha Jain, Principal New Era School Circular Road, Ms Shashi Sharma, Principal Bikram Memorial School Bishnah, Ms Anku Charak, Vice-Principal Humanity Public School and Ms Vasudha, Managing Director Elite Public School Bohri, Ms Pankaj Jamwal, Principal Vidya Mandir School, Mr Sunil Choudhary, Principal Nav Bharat High School, Ms Suman Sambyal, Principal Saraswati Vidyalaya.
The School Management including Mr Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman TSUSJ, Mrs Rajni Gupta, Director TSUSJ, Col VK Sharma (Retd), Principal TSUSJ, Ms Shivani Vaid Sharma, Headmistress, Mr Apurv Gupta, Administrator TSUSJ, Mr. Ashok Dixit, Social Activist and many other dignitaries participated in the carnival.
There were nineteen (19) prizes including few consolation prizes worth Rs 1,00,000/- (Rs one lakh only) on stake for the winners. Ms Suhani (11045), Raju (361) and Viraj (4402) won the First Prize (One Plus LED TV), Second Prize (Samsung Refrigerator) and Third prize (LG Semi-Automatic Washing Machine) respectively. Prize by the holder of ticket number 1601, 513, 2173, 11431, 407, 1367, 4852, 1481, 1107, 4630 and 2292 who could not collect their prize can claim the same from the school by producing the counterfoil.
The Carnival culminated with a Happy ending wherein people exchanged greetings for a prosperous New Year – 2023 in advance. (CNS)
