03 KG 40 GM GANJA RECOVERED, DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED: REASI POLICE
Reasi, 14 June :Continuing drive against drug abuse in the holy town Katra, team of Police Check Post Balni during checking and frisking apprehended one Drug Peddler namely Suraj S/O Indru R/O Serwad Katra and recovered 03 kg 40 Gms Ganja from his possession while he was riding on a scooty bearing No. JK14H-7058.
In this regard, a case FIR No 289/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Katra and investigation initiated to unearth forward and backward linkages. The whole operation is led by Inspr Suman Anti Drug Unit Reasi, Inspr Nishant SHO Katra under the supervision of SP Katra Vipin Chandran – JKPS.
Amit Gupta -JKPS Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi while sharing the details conveyed that Reasi Police is working on multipronged strategy to deal with the problem of drug abuse and will leave no stone unturned to curb this menace from the society.
