RAMBAN POLICE RECOVERED 182 kg POPPY STRAW UNDER OPERATION SANJEEVANI
Ramban: 12 Dec, 2022: A police party of *Police Station Batote* headed by PSI Neeraj Choudhary while checking of vehicles at Nashri Naka stopped one truck bearing Regd. No. PB07BP-7005 coming from Kashmir towards Jammu and on checking of the said truck, 11 bags containing 01 quintal 82 kg poppy straw like substance got recovered from the said truck hidden under loaded apple packed boxes. The driver of said truck arrested on spot and he disclosed his identity as Gurpreet Singh @ Gopi S/O Bawa Singh R/O village Parowal Tehsil Garh Shankar District Hoshiarpur Punjab. On this, Case FIR No. 213/2022 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act got registered in P/S Batote and investigation set into motion.
The overall recovery was carried out by the police party headed by *Insp Sam Paul Gill SHO Batote under the supervision of Pradeep Singh Sen DySP Hqrs Ramban with the overall supervision of SP Ramban, Ms Mohita Sharma, IPS.*
