THREE MOST WANTED DRUG PEDDLERS APPREHENDED BY DODA POLICE AND RECOVERED HEROIN FROM THEIR POSSESSION
Continuing its drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers under operation “SANJEEVANI”, Police Party of Police Post Khellani Doda led by PSI Aman Sharma I/C PP Khellani under the supervision of Inspector Arun Parkash, SHO PS Doda laid a Naka on NHW-244 near Khellani for checking/frisking of vehicles and pedestrians. During checking, one swift Car bearing registration No. JK19/3900 was intercepted for checking purpose. On questioning driver disclosed his name as Imtiyaz Ahmed son of Abdul Hamid resident of Anwar Abad Doda and on his personal search, heroin like substance was recovered from his possession. His other associates who were also travelling in the same vehicle disclosed their name as (1) Yasir Ahmed @ Thopa son of Abdul Majid resident of Sadiq Abad Doda and (2) Irfan Khan son of Ghulam Hussain Khan resident of Astan Mohalla Doda and on their personal search heroin like substance was also recovered from the possession of both the associates. In this connection, case FIR No.263/2022 under relevant provision of law has been registered at PS Doda and investigation of the case has been set into motion.
It is to mention here that trio drug peddlers are most wanted as there were number of inputs of their nose-dive involvement in drug peddling besides getting involved other youth in drug consumption. Among them, Yasir Ahmed son of Abdul Majid resident of Sadiq Abad Doda is also known as Thopa was main supplier of drugs in Doda town. The recovery of contraband substance and arrest of the drug peddlers was made under the overall supervision of Sh. Jaswant Singh, Dy.SP Hqrs Doda.
Doda Police had launched massive hunt against these drug peddlers and sources were activated to apprehend them and ultimately today Police succeeded in apprehending them with drugs. Adding further Doda Police said that this is the most successful operation of Doda Police under operation SANJEEVANI in which these most wanted drug peddlers got apprehended.
