Thana Diwas held at Handwara Qalamabad, Vilgam, Kralgund, Zachaldara and Chogul
Handwara July 27: Handwara Police organised Thana Diwas at Handwara, Qalamabad , Vilgam, Kralgund, Zachaldara and Chogul.
_*The programmes were conducted by concerned SDPO, SHOs and ICPP. The events were attended by senior citizens, civil society members, members of the trading community, among others.*_
_*The main focus of the events remained on issues pertaining to drug abuse, moral and social crimes, use and misuse of social media and responsible use of internet. The participants were forthcoming in their suggestions against drug abuse, addiction and social crimes. The participants were, in turn, advised to identify early signs of drug addiction among their family and acquaintances so that requisite counselling or medical attention could be given in a timely manner. They were also advised to monitor the use of social media by minors in the interests of their safety and health.*_
_*Additionally PS Qalamabad organised programme on Drug Deaddiction and Cyber Crime at GHHS Qalamabad. The programme was attended by teachers and students of the school who were briefed about trending cyber crimes and drug deaddiction. Students of the school also spoke on the subject at large. At the end of the programme, the participating students were felicitated with certificates as a token of appreciation.*_
