Kavinder announces BJP Corporators’ names for JMC standing committee elections meets Mayor
Welcomes Govt’s ban on terror outfit PAFF
JAMMU: Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader announced the names of three Corporators of the party for the upcoming elections of the post of Chairmen of three Standing Committees of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) scheduled to be held on January 12.
He conveyed this to the JMC Mayor Rajinder Sharma who called on him today regarding the same. Vinay Gupta, Seh Prabhari BJP Jammu North was also present in the meeting.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party had authorized Kavinder Gupta, who is holding charge of BJP’s Local Body Cell and Party’s Panchayati Raj Cell, for finalizing the names of three BJP Corporators for the aforesaid elections.
During the meeting, Kavinder Gupta conveyed to the Mayor Rajinder Sharma that after holding detailed deliberations and discussion with Party President Ravinder Raina and General Secretary Organization Ashok Koul, he has announced the name of Corporator Gopal Mahajan from Ward no 5 for the post of Chairman of Swacch Bharat Committee of JMC; Corporator Arun Khanna from Ward 25 for the post of Chairman for Health and Sanitation Committee JMC and Subhash Sharma from Ward 36 for the post of Chairman Social Justice Committee of the Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Meanwhile, the former Deputy Chief Minister also chaired a meeting of BJP Jammu South office bearers at Party Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and discussed the upcoming programmes of the party in the next one month. He asked them to reaming in public and make aware them about the policies and programmes of the Party and the key initiatives taken by the Modi government for the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir.
The senior BJP leader has also welcomed the Govt’s decision of banning the terrorist organization PAFF. He asserted that BJP has been always proclaiming unambiguously its policy of zero tolerance to terrorism and it stands fully committed to it. He said whether it is elimination of terrorists or banning the terror organizations and their supporters the BJP Government has been continuously involved in ruthless anti-terrorist operations across the nation and especially in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. He said that BJP will not relent till the last terrorist is wiped out from this soil.
