Under the operation Drug free kulgam, one more drug peddler has been arrested by kulgam police.
Kulgam: April 14, Kulgam police is making every effort to hunt down the drug peddlers in the district and to put them behind the bars.
Under the supervision of of SSP kulgam ,yesterday at about 1540 hours a special team of police officers was constituted which was led by IC PP Mirbazar and established Naka checking and frisking of suspicious persons / vehicles . During the Naka checking near Zadoora Crossing on NHW-44 the said team of Police kulgam was able to intercepted one suspicious person who disclosed his identity as *Safeer Ahmad Dar S/O Khalil Mohammad Dar R/O Nowpora* and was carrying a bag. During the search of the said bag, the officers present were able to recover 6 sticks of *Charas* like contraband substance which was weighing around *100 grams* from the said bag. The said person was arrested on the spot.
Regarding this incident, a Case FIR No. 67/2023 U/S 8/20* of NDPS Act stands registered in *Police Station Qazigund* and further investigation has been set into motion.(CNS)
