4 Drug smugglers arrested at Dangerpora Sheeri and Nehalpora Pattan during naka checking: Police
170 grams of contraband Charas, 70 grams of Cannabis Powder & 5 Kgs of Poppy Straw recovered from them. Motor Cycle seized; Case registered.
Baramula, Jun 06: During naka checking at Dangerpora Market in Sheeri 03 persos were coming on a Motorcycle bearing registration number DL9SB-5432 from Dangerpora towards Mallora and upon seeing the naka party they tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended by police tactfully. They have been identified as Shafeeq Ahmad Naikoo S/O Gh Rasool, Yasir Ahmad Lone S/O Fayaz Ahmad & Fayaz Ahmad Wani S/O Ab Jabar all residents of Dangerpora Sheeri. During their personal search 170 grams of contraband Charas like substance were recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately. Scooty was also seized on spot.
In the same way Pattan Police arrested Drug smuggler Bilal Ahmad Shah S/O Gh Nabi Shah R/O Kalsari Pattan during naka checking at Nehalpora Cheksari Pattan.
During his personal search 70 grams of contraband Cannabis Powder & 5 Kgs of Poppy Straw like substances was recovered from him and was taken into custody. Cases under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Sheeri & Pattan and investigations set in motion.
