BOOTLEGGERS HELD WITH ILLICIT LIQUOR FROM DODA TOWN.
Doda Police arrested bootleggers with illicit liquor recovered from their possession.
While giving details Doda police said that a police party of Police Station Doda led by PSI Sahil Sharma was on checking and frisking duty near Akramabad Doda. During checking, the Police party stopped one Vehicle TATA Mobile bearing regd. No JK06B/4501 which was coming from Bhagwah side towards Doda , driven by driver namely Ajeet Singh son of Dharam Singh resident of Birshalla tehsil Doda. Another associate of the driver who was also travelling in the vehicle, revealed his name Pawan Kumar Son of Mehant Singh resident of Bijarni Bhagwan Doda.
During checking, fifty (50) bottles of JK whisky were recovered from their possession which they had concealed in the vehicle and was being taken by them for selling illegally.
In this connection, case FIR NO 62/2023 under relevant section has been registered at Police station Doda and investigation is going on.
Doda police is working on mission mode approach to eradicate the manufacturing and selling of illicit liquor, drugs peddling and other evils from the society.
